Breaking News!!!

A 2000 acre tract of land in the eastern part of East End has been certified as an Arkansas 'Select Site' by Entergy Arkansas.  This area is located along the west side of Interstate 530 between the Woodson and Hensley exits.  The location is the only one of the 20 'Select Sites' in Arkansas listed as a mega-site.  The Saline County Economic Develpment Corporation hopes to attract a large business facility to the location.  When this happens, it will bring many jobs and development to East End.  There is also another 14,000 additional acres of land that could be used for future development as well.  The area outlined in red on the above photo is the current 2045 acre site with the area in blue being the 14,000 acres set aside for possible expansion.Please check back on occassion for additional updates.
